Welcome

On behalf of the VAOT Executive Board, I'd like to extend a hearty welcome to all the new members of our state association. And, if you haven't joined VAOT, I would encourage you to do so. Those of us who have been active for a while would agree that participation in our state association is a wonderful way to stay in touch with others in our field. We share ideas, keep our skills sharp and work together to promote pride in our profession. We also have fun!

Launched in 1980 by Max Huband, VAOT is made up of Orthopaedic Technologists and other allied health professionals who work in the orthopaedic field. Since then, our state association has fostered a spirit of pride and offered a variety of continuing educational oppurtunities, allowing us to stay on top of the latest practices, techniques, and equipment.

The biannual slate of VAOT seminars brings together a top- notch roster of speakers in the field of orthopaedics. In addition to enjoying an atmosphere of camaraderie among colleagues from throughout Virginia., attendees are able to earn CEU's at these seminars. Remember that the state associations are the foundation of the National Association of Orthopaedic Technologists (NAOT). Your involvement is crucial to continuing efforts to bring increased recognition to orthopaedic professionals.
